Round 2 - July 27

I woke up this AM and thought oh wow, I don't feel too sore after doing the first workout, so this might not be too bad. Well as the day went on I started to feel it. I could hardly move my arms but my energy level was up so I continued on my day doing my normal duties.

Day 2 and we did Plyometrics....yikes!
This workout was extremely hard and really makes ya sweat!!! And if you know me, you know that I don't like to sweat. But I stuck by the workout and near the end I yelled out I LOVE this!! So Tony Horton you ROCK, I love how you BRING IT!!!

meal: another good and really easy dinner tonight. Turkey, gravy, green beans and butternut squash soup. Very tasty, but I was a little hungry about 2 hours after eating. So I snacked on a string cheese.

I bought a little fully cooked smoked turkey breast that I heated in the oven, steamed some green beans that I sprinkled with a little oregano and lemon pepper seasoning and made the soup from this recipe. Oh and I made home made this gravy from the P90x book and it was sooooo good!!

Eating right and working hard and lovin' it!!! I've been pumped about this p90x for a long time and excited to finally be doing it! Gotta get our workout room in order, though. Its bugging the shit out of me, gotta get the room cleared out so we can move around the room more.
Update on the pull up bar- I found resistance bands that have a large tab on the band that you attach to the top of the door and close the door and it seems to work.
Wishing everyone a very healthy day.

Round 1 - July 26

Day one is here and we did the first workout, Chest and Back. I officially HATE push ups!! I never want to do another push up again! The one good thing was I pushed myself harder than I thought I would and started out during the first half of the work out doing 8 (girly) push ups and during the second half of the work out was doing 10 (girly) push ups. So that was a good thing :)
The hard thing was I thought my arms were going to fall off...lol
I am proud of myself for finishing the work out, even though it was the hardest work out I've ever done.
Meal:
We had a fantastic shrimp dinner. Lemon-Dill shrimp skewers, brown rice, roasted asparagus and red pepper soup.
here is the Lemon Dill shrimp skewers recipe.
here is the red pepper soup recipe - I substituted the white wine for low sodium chicken stock.
The meal was delicious and very satisfying.

Work out was great! Hard, but great! I realized that we really needed either a pull up bar or a secure place/hook in the ceiling to secure our resistance bands to the ceiling. We thought we could just do the workout without it and that was NOT the case at all. I tried hooking our resistance bands on our huge TV armoire but ended up almost killing myself in the process, cuz the armoire started to fall over....I know I'm an idiot. Gonna hit the store tomorrow and see if I can find a cheap pull up bar or hooks for the ceiling to attach our bands to.

Wishing everyone a very healthy day.
